Automotive photography resources.

Helpful guidance for people using Motobomb and for anyone looking for safe, useful vehicle photography locations.

Guide

How to find automotive photographers near you

Start by checking areas where photographers are likely to work safely and legally: popular driving routes, scenic lay-bys, public car parks, organised meets and known vehicle event routes.

Motobomb helps by grouping photographers, POIs and hotspots into map views and searchable lists. Enthusiasts can check profiles, save favourites and follow a photographer's linked social channels before making contact.

Guide

What makes a good car or bike photo location?

A useful vehicle photo location usually has safe access, legal parking, good visibility, an interesting background and enough space to stop without blocking roads, pavements or private entrances.

Good recommendations should include practical context where possible, such as the general area, whether it suits cars or bikes, and whether the spot is better for landscape shots, static photos or drive-by photography.

Safety

Roadside photography safety basics

Photographers should stay visible, avoid distracting drivers, keep away from live carriageways and respect local rules. Enthusiasts should never check the app while driving or riding.

Motobomb is designed as a discovery tool, not a safety-critical navigation service. Always check the location yourself and use common sense before travelling, stopping or meeting anyone.

Community

How community recommendations improve the map

Motobomb becomes more useful when drivers, riders and photographers suggest genuine locations that are relevant to the automotive scene.

Recommended places should be specific enough to help others, but should not encourage trespass, dangerous parking, antisocial behaviour or unsafe roadside activity.

Privacy

How photographer location sharing works

Live map visibility is an optional Pro Photographer feature. A photographer chooses when to appear on the map and can stop sharing at any time.

Location sharing automatically disables after 8 hours as a safeguard. Motobomb is built around current availability, not continuous public location history.

Tips

Making the most of favourites and Motobomb logs

Favourites help you keep track of photographers, POIs and hotspots you want to revisit. Motobomb logs help you record passes where a photographer may have captured your vehicle.

Use notes sensibly. The log is there to help you remember a likely photographer or location, not to track people or encourage unwanted contact.

Built for the community.

Motobomb is built by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts. Map data, hotspot listings and points of interest can be curated and contributed by the community.

If you know a great spot that is not on the map yet, use Recommend a Place from the app menu to submit it.

Support and reports.
